Professional Services

Concrete Polishing is a mechanical process that uses metal bond diamond tooling to grind followed by resin bond diamonds to polish the slab. The higher the grit, the better the shine.  The result is a permanent solution to a durable easy to maintain floor that looks amazing.  We are prepared for whatever size project you can dream up!

What Is Polished Concrete?

Understanding Concrete Polishing

Concrete polishing is a relatively new and innovative eco-friendly flooring option that transforms an existing concrete slab — typically the building's foundation — into a stunning, durable surface. The finished floor resembles polished natural stone such as granite, soapstone, or slate. Every product used in the process is designed to enhance the concrete's natural character, not cover or disguise it, resulting in a floor with all the inherent strength of the original slab plus added durability and stain resistance.

A Craft That Rewards Investment

Think of concrete polishing like sanding and finishing hardwood floors — but on an industrial scale. The process requires large, specialized grinding and polishing equipment and a high level of skilled labor, which makes it a premium flooring option. Polished concrete isn't a budget-friendly shortcut simply because the slab already exists — it's a significant but long-lasting investment in your space.

The process begins with coarse diamond grinding to strip away dirt, old coatings, and the weak surface paste, revealing the denser, more resilient concrete beneath. Progressively finer grinding grits then smooth and level the surface. Finally, high-grit resin polishing diamonds gradually bring the floor to a brilliant high-gloss finish — or a more subdued low-sheen look, if you prefer. Throughout the process, a densifier is applied to increase hardness and abrasion resistance, and a penetrating sealer acts as a long-term stain shield.

The result is a floor built to last decades — and one that earns its price tag every year.

Sustainability

Concrete polishing is one of the most environmentally responsible flooring choices available:

  • Uses the original building foundation — no excess materials required

  • No environmentally hazardous coatings, toppings, or adhesives

  • Cleaned with only green, pH-neutral soaps and/or water — no harsh chemicals

  • Increases ambient light reflectivity, reducing the need for artificial lighting and lowering electricity use

  • Overall Life Expectancy: 40 years, or the life of the slab

  • Reseal/Re-burnish: Every 7–10 years, depending on traffic
